The coastal city of Larnaca, Cyprus, hosted the presentation of the European project Alliance4XR, funded by the Erasmus+ program.
This groundbreaking project brings together 13 partners from 8 countries with the goal of transforming education through the integration of Extended Reality technologies (XR). Alliance4XR aims to provide a practical and validated methodology for incorporating XR into teaching, supported by experts and utilizing high-quality resources.
During this initial meeting, project partners have laid the groundwork, organized various work packages, and coordinated upcoming activities.
This ambitious project will span the next 3 years and cover several European countries, including Belgium, Cyprus, Greece, Ireland, Ukraine, Portugal, Spain, and Sweden.
The 13 partners will collaborate closely to develop effective strategies that empower university professors and vocational instructors to fully leverage XR possibilities in the classroom and innovate in their teaching methodologies.
The program targets university professors and vocational instructors who seek to innovate in their teaching approaches and tackle technological challenges using XR.
Alliance4XR aims to bridge the gap between academia and industry. Currently, companies face significant difficulties in finding talented engineers with solid technological knowledge. This project intends to address this gap by empowering educators to integrate these technologies into their curricula and prepare the next generation of professionals.
